In my art, I focus on the relationship between my interpersonal feelings using form and color. I employ gestural abstraction, lyrical figuration and sometimes text within my work. While painting, I try to go into an associative space where I encourage the experience of connecting deep within my body and mind. This state allows me to go deeper into a part of my bodily conscious memory to uncover my subconscious. Reaching corners of my mind where I discover hallways and rooms of dimensional gray matter; filled with echoes of memories, deep desires and wishes. When I make art or paint in this state, I remember and reveal feelings and sensations to transform them into a physical representation. This process allows me to transform my intense or soft feelings of experiences I have had into art. I want to express the unseen emotional transitions in life, exposing parts of the deep psyche.
